Hi there, If you’ve arrived here you are probably on the hunt for images / help / instructions on how to build a Laser Cut Mendel RepRap.
This page will (one day) be a reasonably comprehensive how-to guide for building one of these (particularly the model I have which was produced by TechZone) but as time is a bit scarce, I have started by uploading all of my photos from unboxing > assembly (so far) and will continue to do so as often as I can.
These may be useless to a lot of you, but I figure having photos from the top and bottom of pretty much every part might be helpful… even if it’s just to see which way to put the nuts/washers/screws etc. to avoid too much interference or impossible allen key angles.
So, have a look, if you use the photos anywhere PLEASE credit my site, and check back in 2012 for a full step-by-step guide on how I built my Mendel.
** 2011 edit – I seem to have become one of those people who never update / finish their RepRaps. AAARRGH. I do intend to finish it, but the shoe making and shop building has to come first. So, I will be back one day, but it’s unlikely it will be before 2012. By then the machine will no doubt be obsolete and an embarrassing waste of time…
It is close to working, I have had it moving, and then burnt out my heater controllers. With a new set of electronics sitting here (made by Auzze) I hope to see some printing within a few days of restarting the challenge.
