Press Time

So it seems the combination of hard work and generally being nice to people has resulted in a little burst of PR and interviews for Dani. She is notoriously shy when it comes to promoting herself and her work, so I’ll do the honours this time.

After a successful stall at the Sydney Finders Keepers market, she was asked to do an interview and today this lovely article has shown up on their blog :

Earlier in the week she was also featured on two French design blogs :

So, although we’ve had a slow start to the year in terms of production, things are ‘on the up’ in the publicity department it seems.

Lots more of this sort of stuff to come in 2012…….

New work!

Hey hey!  Dani here.  Got some new stuff to show you..its been about a year, but I found some time to develop one of my exhibition pieces into a range.

You can find it at Craft Victoria or at the upcoming Finders Keepers Market in Sydney on the 2nd and 3rd of December and then at the Harvest Textiles market on December 17.

…and some white pieces too.  These are ring holders for your bed side table.  All this work is ‘pinch pot’ which means i start with a ball of porcelain and pinch it into a shape.  Easy to do, freaking hard to master!

Big Weekend

This weekend I saw the kings of riffage Warped tear up the Tote (and my eardrums), and Dani had stall at a Design Market at the Order of Melbourne bar on Swanson Street.
It was rained out and inside rather than on the rooftop, but it was a great day with plenty of customers braving the torrential rains to come up and check out the wares.

The kids from Patterns of Creative Aggression were there selling their magazines :
‘The magazine is ultimately trying to show what is involved in the creative process; a behind the scenes look into how the works readers might see in galleries, on the shelf and read about in other magazines are produced’

We met the super-cool Gali Lenko who was fronting a stall of greeting cards that you should give to someone you love, or are at least indifferent about.
You dont have to take my word for it, check out this glowing testimonial -
